Here are examples of former projects.
NewForesight establishes on behalf of IDH, ICCO and Rabobank Foundation the 'Better Cotton Initiative Fast Track Program'. A 20 million Euro fund, over 6 years, to help fast track and co fund the commitments of leaders in the garment sector to produce and source mainstream volumes of 'Better Cotton' and make their supply chains more stransparant.
Examples of first moving companies are IKEA, H&M, Levis, M&S and Ecom.

NewForesight supported the foundation of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council for sustainable fish farming in cooperation with WWF and IDH. NewForesight investigated the strengths and weaknesses of existing certification programs in order to incorporate these insights in the development of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council.
For IFC NewForesight analysed the sustainability initiatives in the cocoa sector, in order to give recommendations to the Eko Standards' Product Team regarding a market transformation strategy and advisory services.

On behalf of the Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), NewForesight supports the Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS) in formulating its supply chain tracebaility strategy. NewForesight chairs the RTRS 'Traceability and Market Claim' Working Group to identify and discuss different scenarios and options for viable and credible RTRS supply chain certification and traceability options, linked to different market claims.
On behalf of the Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiaitve (IDH), NewForesight adviced The Ministery of Developping Affairs on broader and more inclusive definitions and approaches of Living Wage and Fair Trade. This project resulted in the acceptance of mutliple certification programs for the sustainable sourcing policy of the Dutch Government.
On behalf of ICCO (Dutch NGO) NewForesight was part of the steering group of the Better Cotton Initiative for several months helping the BCI to determine its strategic identity and advice ICCO on its future involvement and support.
For the Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) NewForesight acted as process leader in developing and shaping an sustainable improvement agenda for the sustainability tea industry.
Main project partners have been: Dutch Association for Coffee roasters and Tea packers (VNKT), Unilever, Oxfam Novib, Somo, Pickwick (Sara Lee), Solidaridad, Utz Certified, RainForest Alliance, Ethical Tea Partnership.
NewForesight assisted IFC's Biodiversity Department in formulating new programs and projects for IFC (Part of the World Bank) involvement and supporting to the round tables on sustainable agricultural commodities.
On behalf of Douwe Egberts (Sara Lee) and Solidaridad, NewForesight explored motives and succes factors for strategic cooperation between Utz Certified-Good inside and the Common Code for the Coffee Community (4C).
NewForesight acted as CSR coach for Maxeda's CSR manager and advised on matters of sustainable value chains, certification programs and marketing strategies.
